The Ultrasound Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at ThedaCare Medical Center - Berlin. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including general, OB-GYN, interventional, and vascular procedures. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive accurate and timely diagnoses, enabling our healthcare providers to make informed treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Apply your knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology to implement appropriate imaging techniques, using established protocols to acquire required images.
- Adjust to changing or unusual circumstances, ensuring patient comfort and safety in a variety of settings.
- Apply critical thinking skills to triage and prioritize patients, ensuring order accuracy and efficient workflow.
- Complete documentation on time and accurately, adhering to department policy and procedure, including proper image management and electronic medical record documentation.
- Practice safety at all times, adhering to ALARA principles, safe patient handling practices, infection prevention protocols, and hand hygiene standards.
- Assist providers in diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
- Hospital experience, with a focus on ultrasound imaging.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registration or registry eligibility, or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Ultrasound) registration or registry eligibility, or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registration or registry eligibility.

You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other imaging professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
