Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at Froedtert Health, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and performing diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and protocols. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and effective imaging results.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them for optimal results.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as CT and X-ray machines, to capture high-quality images.
  • Perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and protocols, utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure accurate and effective imaging results.
  • Provide positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Perform ancillary services and assist in patient care areas as necessary.
Requirements
  • One year of current clinical experience in each modality is preferred.
  • Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • ARRT registered and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer is required.
  • Registered by the ARRT in CT, Mammography or Bones Density within 18 months of hire/transfer is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
