Clinical Lead Job Description

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at the COPC Friendship Village of Dublin office in Dublin, Ohio. The Clinical Lead will provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to the Clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The Clinical Lead will collaborate with the Office Manager on administrative oversight of training, compliance, and development of the team. This position is responsible for supply management and works with the Manager to order supplies when needed. This is a full-time position working first shift hours, Monday through Friday.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient and team expectations and work closely with the Manager to identify needs.
  • Act as a backup when the Manager is out of the office.
  • Develop effective working relationships with the Office Manager, COPC physicians, and staff.
  • Assist in training/orienting new and current staff and act as a resource to clinical personnel.
  • Responsible for daily schedule of work assignments and operations.
  • Manage storage, inventory, and coordinate with the Manager to order supplies and implement COPC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and be HIPAA compliant.
  • Record patient medical, social, and family history, measure patient vital signs, and complete injections, blood draws, and EKGs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Electronic Health Records system preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, work independently, and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lead by example and process referrals and precertifications for diagnostic tests ordered by physicians.
