Clinical Lead Job Description

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at the COPC Friendship Village of Dublin office in Dublin, Ohio. The Clinical Lead will provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to the Clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient and team expectations, working closely with the Office Manager to identify needs.
  • Act as a backup when the Office Manager is out of the office.
  • Develop effective working relationships with Office Managers, COPC physicians, and staff.
  • Assist in training and orienting new and current staff, acting as a resource to clinical personnel and assisting with complex issues.
  • Manage daily schedules of work assignments and operations, covering team responsibilities as needed.
  • Manage storage, inventory, and coordinate with the Manager to order supplies and medication.
  • Maintain and implement COPC policies and procedures, ensuring control logs for equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Record patient medical, social, and family history, measure patient vital signs, and complete injections, blood draws, and EKGs as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records system (preferred)
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Process referrals and precertifications for diagnostic tests ordered by physicians
  • Obtain pre-authorizations for prescriptions
