Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Resident/Fellow. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, focusing on patient needs, rights, confidentiality, and religious and cultural preferences.
  • Healthcare Team Collaboration: Maintain positive working relationships with all Parkland internal and external customers, employees, and other healthcare team members.
  • Patient Education and Training: Provide patient care educational information and training to patients and family members.
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach activities, such as health fairs, community collaborations, or outreach clinics, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor's in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience: For fellowship, at least 1 year of RN experience is required. For residency, no RN experience is needed.
  • Certification/Registration/Licensure: Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or valid Compact RN license.
  • Skills or Special Abilities: Provides care to assigned patient population in accordance with the current State of Texas Nursing Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area-specific standards.
