We are in search of dedicated Resident Care Assistants (RCAs) who are passionate about providing exceptional support to our residents. In this role, you will be instrumental in offering both physical and emotional assistance, facilitating daily living activities (A.D.L.s) to enhance the quality of life for those in our care. Your contributions will play a vital role in fostering joy and well-being among our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular checks to ensure residents' comfort, safety, and hygiene.
- Deliver high-quality personal care, including assistance with bathing, feeding, oral hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Perform essential cleaning and sanitation duties efficiently.
- Document Activities for Daily Living (ADLs) and other pertinent information accurately.
- Support residents in engaging in various activities.
- Manage linen changes and distribute clean towels as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and weight, perform urine testing, and assist with post-mortem care when necessary.
- Safely assist in lifting and repositioning residents.
- Address resident disputes or disruptive behavior professionally, reporting incidents to the supervising nurse.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting at the nursing station, answering calls, and helping in the dining area with meal service.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR Certification is necessary.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a related field, or relevant formal education or training.
- Ability to identify changes in residents' physical appearance, demeanor, and overall condition.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to service excellence.
