About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Specialist I to join our team at Datavant. As a key member of our data protection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of patient health information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of company software and systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of data management tasks.
  • Assist with additional work duties and responsibilities as needed, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting productivity expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, with a focus on data management and protection.
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience, with a focus on meeting productivity expectations.
  • In-person customer service experience, with a focus on building relationships with clients and customers.
Working Conditions

This role is based in an office environment, with minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous working conditions. The successful candidate will be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and use a telephone or headset equipment.
