ABOUT THE POSITION

The ACLU is looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology Department. This role is designed to provide essential support to our diverse staff across various locations.

The IT department is responsible for delivering technology-driven services and assistance to over 550 personnel nationwide, ensuring that critical services are consistently available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the primary contact for both onsite and remote staff, assisting with IT applications and hardware. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering prompt and effective technical support to ACLU staff by:
    • Managing and resolving IT hardware and application issues through our helpdesk system, ensuring timely follow-ups and communication.
    • Interacting with users via various channels to diagnose and resolve IT challenges.
    • Setting up and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, software, and mobile devices.
    • Administering user accounts and access rights, addressing any related concerns.
    • Providing support for digital file management and communication systems.
    • Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure efficient issue resolution.
    • Assisting with audio-visual needs for meetings and events.
  • Proactively monitoring systems to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Engaging with vendors for hardware procurement.
  • Contributing to special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Experience in an IT support role, assisting both onsite and remote users.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Intune, Active Directory, and Exchange.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
