Job Overview

Position Title: Brake Operator

Overview:

The Brake Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, focusing on the setup, loading, and operation of the brake press machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet quality standards and objectives.

  • The Brake Operator is required to input data into the computerized control system according to the job order specifications for the Finn Power machine, facilitating the transfer of sheet metal from the designated area.
  • Must be capable of transferring sheet metal to a mobile table efficiently.
  • Responsible for setting up the brake press by manually loading the necessary tools based on part specifications.
  • Expected to maneuver and handle sheet metal within the brake press effectively.
  • Utilization of hand tools for deburring parts is essential.
  • Must organize and place parts onto mobile carts for transfer to the assembly area.
  • It is imperative to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform all essential job functions safely and effectively.
  • Must meet and uphold all qualitative and quantitative productivity benchmarks.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Adherence to all personnel policies and procedures is necessary.
  • Completion of on-the-job training and certification for heavy equipment operation is mandatory, with ongoing training and re-certification as required.
  • Capability to work independently for extended periods as well as collaboratively in teams.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English is essential.
