Brake Press Operator

Halton Company is seeking a skilled Brake Operator to join our team at our Scottsville, KY facility. As a Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, loading, and operating the press brake machine to produce high-quality sheet metal products.

• Enter data into the computerized control system to transfer sheet metal from the bay area to the press brake machine.
• Transfer sheet metal to the mobile table and set up the brake press according to part specifications.
• Operate the press brake machine to shape and form sheet metal into desired shapes.
• Debur parts using hand tools and place them on mobile carts for transfer to the assembly area.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform all essential job functions.
• Ability to meet and maintain all qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to work alone for extended periods and in teams.
• Comprehension of verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to use simple mathematics and reasoning to perform multi-step procedures.

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to heat, cold, and damp conditions. The ability to work near moving machinery and in high places is required. Regular training and certification in the operation of heavy equipment are provided.
