Position Title: Brake Operator
Role Summary:
The Brake Operator is tasked with the setup, loading, and operation of the brake press machinery, ensuring efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet quality standards:
- Input data into the computerized control system according to the job order specifications for the Finn Power machine, facilitating the transfer of sheet metal.
- Safely maneuver sheet metal to a mobile table.
- Set up the brake press by manually loading the necessary tools based on part specifications.
- Manipulate and position sheet metal within the brake press effectively.
- Utilize hand tools for deburring parts as required.
- Organize and place finished parts onto mobile carts for transfer to the assembly area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to perform all essential job functions safely and effectively.
- Capability to meet and uphold all productivity standards.
- Regular and punctual attendance is expected.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures is required.
- Completion of on-the-job training and certification for heavy equipment operation is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently for extended periods as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
