Job Overview

Position Title: Brake Operator

Overview:

The Brake Operator is tasked with the setup, loading, and operation of the brake press machinery, ensuring precision in metal forming processes.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to achieve quality objectives:

  • The Brake Operator is required to input data into the computerized control system according to the job order specifications for the Finn Power machine, facilitating the transfer of sheet metal from the designated area.
  • Transferring sheet metal to a mobile table is a crucial task for the Brake Operator.
  • Setting up the brake press involves manually loading the necessary tools in accordance with part specifications.
  • Manipulating and positioning sheet metal within the brake press is a key function of the role.
  • Utilizing hand tools for deburring parts is expected of the Brake Operator.
  • Parts must be organized on mobile carts for transfer to the assembly area.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform all essential job functions safely and effectively.
  • Capability to meet and uphold all productivity standards, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures is required.
  • Completion of on-the-job training and certification for heavy equipment operation is mandatory, along with ongoing training and re-certification.
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods as well as collaboratively in teams.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in understanding verbal and written instructions in English is required.
