About the Role

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Farm Agronomist / Farm Assistant to join our team in Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular crop scouting and monitoring to ensure optimal growth and productivity
  • Assist in land preparation, weed control, pest control, fertility management, and harvesting operations
  • Operate and maintain farm equipment, including precision agriculture tools
  • Communicate effectively with the team and ownership to ensure seamless operations
  • Participate in crop rotation, soil fertility management, manure use, weed identification, crop disease management, and crop rotation strategies
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of agronomy experience, with a strong background in organic farming practices
  • Excellent scouting and agronomy skills, with knowledge of organic farming principles
  • Self-motivated and excellent communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on and highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
