About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in the Systems Engineering Directorate. The selected candidate will be responsible for helping to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify the solutions are implemented as designed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of concepts of operations for radar systems
  • Radar processing algorithm development
  • Radar software requirements development
  • Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
  • Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
  • Collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Presentation of findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers

Additional Focus Areas:

Signal processing and waveform design, electronic protection methods, phased array and digital beamforming technology, radar search, track and discrimination design, target and threat modeling, integration and test of large radar systems, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. A PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this position.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Salary Range: $77,000 - $163,000 USD

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
