Director of Construction

A leading developer in the industry is seeking a seasoned Director of Construction to lead their construction management team. With a national backlog of retail and multifamily projects valued up to $50M, this company continues to thrive and grow year after year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the overall planning and development of new project activities and the activities of all current projects
  • Manage the budgets of all projects
  • Oversee all project managers and their projects
  • Advise clients and other project team members on base building and internal project management
  • Evaluate and critique the progress of design development, budget, and schedule
  • Assist in developing conceptual estimates using market data
  • Determine quantities of materials during early stages of the design
  • Develop scopes of work for all project-related trades
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is strongly preferred, but extensive work-related experience will be considered
  • 10+ years of project management and estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Proficiency in developing commercial construction projects
