We are seeking an exceptional physician-scientist to join our team as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Pathology and the Weill Institute for Neurosciences at the University of California, San Francisco. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of innovative research in basic and translational sciences, with a focus on proteostasis in neurodegenerative diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Direct an independent research program with a focus on proteostasis in neurodegenerative diseases using in vitro and in vivo models.
- Develop and implement innovative research strategies using CRISP-based technologies to investigate disease mechanisms in neurodegeneration.
- Establish a robust portfolio of extramural grant support and contribute to the development of the department's research program.
- Teach and mentor graduate students, medical students, house-staff, and fellows in the department and university.
- Provide clinical service commensurate with the individual's qualifications and interests.
- MD or MD/PhD degree.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology.
- Medical License in California.
- Minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience.
- Documented record of grant support.
