Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain High Standards of Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure that all areas of the hotel, including kitchens, walk-ins, and back-of-house areas, are clean and sanitized to the highest standards.
  • Lead a Team of Stewards: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Stewarding Department, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment, including dishwashing machines and burnishing machines, are in good working condition and are used correctly.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Order and manage inventory and supplies, including cleaning chemicals and equipment, to ensure that the department has what it needs to operate effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance with Health Department Regulations: Adhere to all Health Department regulations and guidelines, including those related to sanitation and safety.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of stewards to achieve high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and to provide clear guidance and support to the team.
  • Ability to Work a Varied Schedule: Ability to work a varied schedule, including early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
