Job Summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer III to lead the BE-3PM Valves IPT team. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for managing the manufacturing team, prioritizing work, and overseeing procurement activities. Your expertise in program management, engineering, and supply chain management will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of engine valves and valve components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the manufacturing team and prioritize work to meet project deadlines
  • Oversee procurement activities and ensure compliance with scope of work and IPT budget
  • Coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside of the assigned program IPT
  • Identify and mitigate risks, including removal of blockers or investigation and escalation of issues
  • Develop recovery strategies when non-conformances or other escapes are identified

Requirements:

  • B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, including component fabrication, precision assembly, and/or testing
  • Experience in serving as a Project Engineer or Project Manager
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills
  • Strong knack for troubleshooting and quick thinking to keep the project moving forward
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with complex component development & manufacturing
  • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic valves design, test, and manufacturing
  • Experience implementing, customizing or improving configuration management systems in a development engineering environment

Location: Kent, WA

Travel expected up to 15% of the time

Compensation Range: $120,060.00-$168,084.00
