At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Propulsion Engineer III, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for our next-generation rockets.

This position requires a strong background in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis. You'll work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement innovative solutions for our propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing propulsion valves, fluid system components, and other mechanical systems for our liquid rocket engines.
  • Leading and participating in the entire design cycle of valves and fluid system components, including supporting requirements and verification definition, conceptual and detailed design, thermo-fluid modeling, structural analysis, development testing, and qualification.
  • Generating component and assembly drawings with the application of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Creating documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware.
  • Participating in fluid component and subsystem level testing, including planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis.
  • Leading and supporting the development of project development plans, schedules, and cost estimates across all phases of a program.
