Position Summary

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas. You will respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments, ensuring a pleasant experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using appropriate cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure guest rooms, hallways, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned.
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including washing walls, moving furniture, and turning mattresses.
  • Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
  • Collect and manage soiled linen for laundering and remove trash from guest floors.
  • Receive and organize linen supplies from designated areas.
  • Keep housekeeping carts stocked and organized.
  • Deliver requested items such as towels, cribs, and cots to guest rooms.
  • Occasionally perform the duties of a room attendant as needed.
  • Restock guest amenities and supplies in public areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all public spaces according to departmental standards.
  • Respond courteously and helpfully to guests and colleagues.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and carry items for extended periods, typical of a housekeeping role.
  • Capability to push up to 75 lbs. and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail for inspecting linen for quality and condition.
  • Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping is highly preferred.
