Position Overview:

The Corporate Finance Specialist will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Forecasting. This role involves executing specialized financial, accounting, or planning tasks in accordance with established departmental guidelines and procedures. The primary focus will be on supporting various financial functions, including budgeting, auditing, financial planning, taxation, management reporting, cost reporting, and consolidations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment in diverse situations, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exhibit strong organizational capabilities. The ability to balance multiple priorities effectively is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties include:

  • Conducting financial studies and surveys to gather, summarize, and analyze operational financial results.
  • Monitoring financial performance by tracking variances from established plans.
  • Assessing financial health by comparing and analyzing forecasts against actual outcomes.
  • Assisting in the creation of special reports, analyses, and studies.
  • Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, governmental reports, statistical reports, and management reports.
  • Evaluating standard capital expenditure proposals, profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  • Enhancing financial performance by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and providing recommendations.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining reports to support the organization's accounting functions as necessary.
  • Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Improving productivity through the development of automated applications and the elimination of redundancies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, compliance, or a related discipline.

  • Utilize a computer for tasks such as report preparation and work scheduling.

  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor assigned tasks.
  • Complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
