Assistant Plant Manager

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to oversee daily operations and assist plant management in key areas. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to production teams to meet demand and quality standards
  • Coordinate production to meet daily distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle needs
  • Support day-to-day distribution requirements and lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety programs
  • Serve as the site's Primary Quality Assurance Representative, maintaining and reviewing compliance documentation
  • Ensure team training and adherence to Linde Safety and Quality systems and requirements
  • Monitor production/manpower levels to ensure efficiency and anticipate problems
  • Identify issues and lead improvement plans in production processes, shift schedules, and training
  • Manage and escalate equipment and product quality issues
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of production supplies
  • Support 5S and Lean Projects and continuously identify ways to reduce plant operating costs
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors' Degree preferred
  • 3+ years experience in an industrial plant environment required
  • 2+ years managing and developing employees required
  • Experience working and/or managing in a union environment preferred
