Position Overview
The Facility Maintenance Engineer is essential in managing maintenance strategies and ensuring the efficient operation of the Henderson Water Treatment facility.

This role encompasses overseeing both preventive and corrective maintenance to enhance operational efficiency.

The Facility Maintenance Engineer is tasked with maintaining thorough records of all maintenance actions, including work orders, inventory of parts, requisitions, and equipment data.

As the project engineer for all local initiatives, they collaborate with corporate engineering and serve as the site project manager.

This position also involves managing subcontracting activities, from soliciting bids for potential projects to executing contracts and supervising subcontractors during their tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the Plant Manager to achieve maintenance, design, and improvement goals for plant operations.
  • Overseeing the maintenance team.
  • Ensuring accurate maintenance documentation is maintained using plant management software.
  • Coordinating equipment repairs or replacements, including pumps, instruments, controls, and other essential plant machinery.
  • Managing interactions with contractors and clients.
  • Acting as the onsite Project Manager for any installed projects.
  • Providing support to ensure that plant operations comply with environmental and safety standards efficiently.
  • Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with customers, personnel, and Envirogen staff.
  • Managing multiple tasks and responding swiftly to changing priorities.
  • Proficiently using Word and Excel.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in industrial or domestic wastewater treatment is preferred.
  • Experience in plant maintenance, project management, or engineering.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Skills in welding, fabrication, general construction, or heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
  • Completion of 40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
