About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at UniFirst. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, systems, and components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs
  • Utilize precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose equipment issues
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate repairs
  • Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make necessary repairs
  • Inspect and maintain motor, belts, fluid levels, and other equipment components
  • Perform basic welding activities to effect repairs on facilities and equipment
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage maintenance activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
  • Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Lockout / Tagout experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
