About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Audio Systems Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our audiovisual infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and repairing complex audiovisual systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of advanced audiovisual equipment in conference centers/rooms, control rooms, operating rooms, and digital assets.
  • Troubleshoot advanced fiber optic routing and transmission systems in integrated operating rooms.
  • Maintain asset inventory database by documenting assets for preventive maintenance and recapitalization purposes.
  • Oversee vendors on projects to ensure installation and repairs are completed in accordance with Cleveland Clinic audio-visual equipment standards.
  • Create system drawings, cable schedules, equipment lists, and serve as project management lead of system installations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in AV technology, video design, or related field required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a professional audiovisual environment installing/operating/repairing AV equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of networking, hardware, software, and IT integration concepts.
  • Ability to read light output strength of a fiber cable when repairing a conference room or an OR fiber transmitter and receiver.
  • Ability to operate standard power tools, such as drills, drivers, saws, and sanders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' experience may substitute for bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience may substitute for associate degree.
  • Extensive experience installing audio systems such as Biamp, ClearOne, or QSC.
  • Extensive experience with AV Control Systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX.
Physical Requirements
  • Visual and aural acuity.
  • Manual dexterity and strength sufficient to operate, repair, and transport audiovisual equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs., ability to pull/push up to 25 lbs.

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $25.13

Maximum hourly: $38.33
