Mechanical Engineering Specialist Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Specialist Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work
- Oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops, including prioritizing work, reviewing ongoing projects, and inspecting installed equipment
- Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff
- Manage project design or construction efforts, including scheduling, funding, and day-to-day project oversight
- Assist the client's contracting officer and contracting officer's technical representative with acquisition planning, execution, and administration
- Optimize performance, cost, and schedule by ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and at the lowest cost compatible with user requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a facilities professional
- 5+ years of experience in an assigned field, including high voltage power, mechanical systems, fire protection, or construction
- Experience with the implementation or execution of design documents
- Experience with reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues with the design intent
- Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)
- Ability to evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all Federal, State, and Local codes
- Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with managing project design or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight
- Experience with MAXIMO
- Experience with new and existing building systems and site surveys and calculations
- Knowledge of the ASHRAE standards, International Building Code, and pertinent NFPA publications related to mechanical systems
- Knowledge of the CAD systems, AutoCAD, or REVIT
- Ability to oversee and coordinate activities with the trade shops, including prioritization of work, review of ongoing projects, and inspection of installed equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
