Position Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tasked with the secure extraction of dangerous substances from marine vessels in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Employ a variety of tools to safely eliminate materials including electrical wiring, flooring, and asbestos.
  • Prepare and properly dispose of hazardous materials in specified containers.
  • Establish containment zones for safe abatement processes.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as necessary.
Physical Demands
Must be capable of walking long distances, standing for prolonged periods, lifting weights up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, and executing various physical tasks.

Work Setting
Engage in work on marine vessels or within dismantling facilities, facing outdoor conditions and potential risks.

Possible Risks
Exposure to heat, rain, fire, falls, noise, heights, and hazardous materials.
