DHR Health is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of medical imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and MRI machines

• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including disinfecting equipment and disposing of hazardous materials

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care

• Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

• Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and imaging results

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and HIPAA

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

• Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

• Current certification as a registered radiologic technologist (RT) or registered technologist in imaging science (RT(IS))

• 1-2 years of experience in a medical imaging setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods of time

• Familiarity with medical imaging software and equipment, including X-ray, CT, and MRI machines

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
