Position Overview:

The Quality Control Lead Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections and testing to ensure that the final products meet all specified customer requirements. This role holds accountability for the quality of each inspected component.

Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent

Working Hours: First shift, Monday to Friday

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Core Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CMM for inspections; experience with CMM Manager by Nikon is essential.
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments and CMM technology.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and measurement parameters.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using various automated and manual inspection tools.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, addressing quality-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to define quality standards for external suppliers and manage material certifications.
  • Work alongside engineering to establish measurement methodologies and assist in designing measuring fixtures.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems is required.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of CNC machining processes.
  • Maintain and update inspection documentation, including forms, logs, and conformance certificates.
  • Identify root causes of quality issues and develop corrective actions in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management abilities, effectively prioritizing tasks.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Initiate non-conformance reports as necessary.
  • Conduct inspections on the manufacturing floor for in-process components.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMM is mandatory.
  • Strong mathematical skills and a thorough understanding of geometric tolerancing as per ASME Y14.5M—1994.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
