Position Overview:
The Quality Control Lead Inspector is responsible for executing inspection and testing tasks to ensure that the final products meet all specified customer requirements. This role holds accountability for the quality of each inspected component.
Key Details:
Job Title: Quality Control Lead Inspector
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Work Hours: First shift, Monday to Friday
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Core Responsibilities:
- Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspections; experience with CMM Manager by Nikon is essential.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments and CMM technology.
- Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and measurement parameters.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using various automated and manual inspection equipment.
- Engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating quality-related communications with customers and project engineers.
- Collaborate with purchasing to define quality requirements from suppliers and manage necessary material certifications.
- Work alongside engineering to establish effective measurement methodologies and assist in the design of measuring fixtures as needed.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is required.
- Possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Maintain and update inspection documentation, including forms, logs, and conformance certificates.
- Identify root causes of quality issues, analyze them, and develop corrective actions in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in alignment with production and customer demands.
- Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of all inspection equipment.
- Initiate non-conformance reports as necessary.
- Conduct inspections on the manufacturing floor to assess the quality of in-process components.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CMM is required.
- Strong mathematical skills and a thorough understanding of geometric tolerancing as per ASME Y14.5M—1994.
- A minimum of a high school diploma.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
