Sentara Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative/Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, addressing eligibility, claim, and payment issues, and performing patient scheduling and referral work.
Responsibilities- Handle incoming calls to effectively address eligibility, claim, and payment issues or to address and perform patient scheduling and referral work.
- Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
- Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries.
- Schedule a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system.
- Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, has been scheduled.
- Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within scope of role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of Customer Service experience. Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting preferred.
- High Volume call center experience preferred.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
- Data entry skills.
- Must be available for a remote work opportunity.
