Customer Service Representative Job Description

Winsupply of Charlottesville is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers at the counter sales area and through various communication channels.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding service to customers, answering their questions and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pick and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that customers receive the products they need in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers with warranty issues and returns, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Inform customers of promotions, volume purchasing, and other incentives to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, restocking items and arranging displays as needed.
  • Problem-solve with customers to find the right products to fit their needs, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Continuously learn about new products and apply knowledge to help customers find more efficient solutions.
  • Communicate with supervisors and purchasing agents to ensure that inventory levels are adequate and that customers are informed of out-of-stock items.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Previous counter sales, plumbing, or HVAC knowledge, or order pulling experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to quickly learn organizational procedures and operations.
  • Ability to analyze non-complex administrative details and correct routine error situations.
  • A high degree of math competency and ability to maintain arithmetic and statistical accuracy.
  • Possess good oral communication skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to learn our business software (WISE) to produce sales orders and execute other duties specific to the company.
Physical Demands:
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle material weighing up to 50 pounds.
