We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain. The successful candidate will be engaged in research focusing on neuro-degenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's Disease and other age-related traits.
Responsibilities- Develop, characterize, and optimize bioinformatics tools to analyze high-throughput genomic and multi-omics data.
- Work independently and collaboratively with highly interactive research groups.
- Design and perform experiments, data analysis, and interpretation, as well as write manuscripts.
- PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Computer Science.
- Proficient in statistical programming languages (R/Python) and experience working on Unix/Linux systems and basic shell scripting.
- Experience in working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with commonly-used human sequence data analysis bioinformatics tools and genetic databases.
- Working knowledge of statistical genetics is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
