Clinical Social Work Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive case management and ambulatory behavioral health services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' psychological and mental status, utilizing the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to diagnose patients and determine the level of care required.
- Psychotherapy and Counseling: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, including crisis intervention, brief therapy, cognitive and behavioral therapies, skills training, supportive therapy, stress management, and family therapy.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and other interdisciplinary clinical team members to support assessments and decision-making, and consult with colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and patient outcomes in accordance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Improvement and Education: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices in the field.
- Education and Licensure: Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university, and licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Hawaii) is required.
- Experience: Experience in providing evidence-based treatment, conducting individual and group therapy, and working with patients with serious or chronic mental illness is preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral and written communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and conflict resolution, as well as adaptability, change management, and decision-making.
