ATA Services, Inc. is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator for a temporary role within a municipal fire department.

  • Compensation: $25.60 per hour; paid weekly.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Location: Northwest Albuquerque.
  • Eligibility: Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Financial Operations Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and overseeing financial reporting frameworks. This role includes providing guidance and technical support to various departments, as well as preparing monthly financial reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating monthly financial reports, including the reconciliation of all bank accounts associated with funded programs and resident accounts.
  • Preparing budget documents and reports for the Youth Services Center as necessary.
  • Reviewing and submitting all financial disbursements, inventory records, and purchase requests to the Department Director.
  • Evaluating departmental accounting practices; suggesting or implementing changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implementing budgetary controls through the review and authorization of financial obligations and expenditures for administrative and management purposes.
  • Assisting the Department Director with the coordination of office services, personnel management, payroll, and budget oversight.
  • Managing both capital and operational budgets.
  • Providing expert advice on budgetary issues by assessing the implications of agenda items for the Youth Services Center.
  • Supervising and directing the work of subordinate staff as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, along with five (5) years of relevant experience in project management, program analysis, budgeting, and/or finance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
