Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Internal Medicine team at Geisinger Mount Nittany Medical Center. As a key member of the hospitalist team, you will be responsible for assessing and establishing presumptive diagnoses, implementing treatment plans, and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with the hospitalist team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
