As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Assess and establish presumptive diagnoses, implementing treatment plans for patient populations.
- Make accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing as needed.
- Prescribe and adjust medications or therapies as appropriate, evaluating and reporting to collaborating physicians any circumstances or approaches that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice of the physician assistant license, communicating with collaborative physicians, patients, and referring staff through telephone or other means of correspondence.
- Instill confidence in patients by providing safe, ethical care and health education in a language they can understand.
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with Basic Life Support Certification.
- Experience in Internal Medicine or a related field, with a strong understanding of clinical policies and standards.
