POSITION: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner - Level 3 NICU

We are seeking a dedicated Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care in our Level 3 NICU. This role is tailored for a licensed and certified healthcare professional who is skilled in delivering direct patient care, possesses prescriptive authority, and works in close collaboration with a supervising physician. Your responsibilities will encompass patient evaluations, medical management, and treatment strategies within a critical care environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and detailed medical histories.
  • Analyze diagnostic tests and recommend suitable treatment options.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to formulate detailed patient care plans.
  • Offer guidance to patients and their families regarding health management and medication protocols.
  • Ensure precise documentation of patient records and manage referrals as required.
  • Execute invasive procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.
  • Engage in hospital rounds, patient admissions, discharges, and provide on-call support.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth understanding of medical diagnoses and treatment methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for medical documentation.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with APRN certification.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Less than one year of relevant experience.
  • Required certifications: Nurse Practitioner (NP), Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (ACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (ACNPC-AG), Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (NNP-BC).
