Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Cultivation to join our medical cannabis facility. This role is crucial for overseeing day-to-day operations of the cultivation production areas, managing a large team of 40-50 cultivation agents, and ensuring that all cultivation processes, training requirements, schedules, policies, and procedures are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relations.
  • Serve as a role-model and resource for cultivation staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations.
  • Address and resolve staff questions, concerns, and conflicts.
  • Coordinate with the upper management team to ensure accurate information is communicated.
  • Oversee all cultivation tasks and processes, ensure proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.
  • Oversee supply stock, orders, and deliveries to ensure efficient levels of all cultivation inputs and supplies.
  • Ensure plant health by pruning, toping, trimming, analyzing plant health according to Cresco Labs policy, as well as any other tasks required.
  • Direct environmental programs, crop steering, and integrated pest management.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cultivation activities including employee records, inventory records, crop application records with the State and standards set by Cresco Labs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, agricultural sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a position with managerial responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations and knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law.
  • Proficiency in word processing, point-of-sale systems, and data base management.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.
