About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Engineer to join our team at Delta Air Lines. As a Technical Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the development of innovative solutions that deliver business value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals and intent of assigned products.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts to prioritize feature development based on business value.
  • Elicit and create initial epics and features, elaborating them into user scenarios that clearly describe functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, scenarios, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups, and demos.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within a Scrum framework.
  • Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies.
  • Oversight of testing, bug tracking, and enhancements to ensure issues are resolved before promoting to production environments.
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives and balance constantly evolving priorities.
  • Use data and analysis to convey solution impact and support process-driven solutions.
  • Develop business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools.
  • Construct problem statements, including problem descriptions and improvement measures.
  • Drill down to understand root causes and deliver recommendations with supporting data.
  • Supply guidance to project planning and effort estimation within scope.
  • Support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches.
  • Collaborate with and develop internal customer relationships with business unit leaders.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a project manager, product owner, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and ability to apply it in software development and delivery.
  • Knowledge of product features and ability to design, build, and develop new products, technologies, or services.
  • Knowledge of requirement analysis tools, methods, and techniques.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and social skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of Agile/SDLC development methodologies.
  • DevOps experience, including the use of Enterprise Agile planning solutions.
  • Previous experience as a product Subject Matter Expert, including ownership for its development and performance.
  • Flexibility to adapt and plan for changing business objectives.
  • Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams.
