Sales Catering Manager

The Sales Catering Manager role at StepStone Hospitality Inc. is a dynamic position that requires a motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in multi-tasking and hospitality sales experience.
The responsibilities of the Sales Catering Manager include:
- Soliciting new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication
- Developing and executing strategic plans to maximize revenue
- Meeting sales goals through the development of new customers and nurturing existing client relationships
- Developing Group markets to include S.M.E.R.F., Tour & Travel, Government & Association segments
- Communicating effectively with all hotel departments and working independently
- Assuming responsibility for set-up and execution of events
- Working with clients directly to form Banquet Event Orders
- Assisting with other areas as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing
Job Requirements
- A minimum of one year hotel group sales experience and strong knowledge of hotel catering and banquets
- An outgoing personality
- A proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A working knowledge of all systems, reports, room capabilities, and forms used in a hotel sales office
- Knowledge of Sales Force and Delphi is preferred
- Market or like market knowledge is preferred
- Computer literacy to include Microsoft Word and Excel
- A college degree is preferred
