Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Representative to join our team at Buildwithbmc. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing sales and managing a solid customer base, while working with existing accounts and new customers by promoting BMC framing and concrete supplies to General Contractors, Custom Home Builders, Framers, Siding, Finish and other related Sub-Contractors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform regular job-site sales/service to customers within an assigned territory, including job-site delivery of products within the market.
- Perform jobsite and office calls with the LBM OSR team to establish SBP product sales and service.
- Develop and maintain a key list of accounts and/or prospects for additional SBP products.
- Map out daily, weekly schedule of job site / customer calls.
- Conduct cold calls on jobsites promoting BMC its related products.
- Research and provide additional products needed for BMC stocking locations.
- Make job-site deliveries as required and assist customers with unloading of material.
- Assist with pick-up of small vendor products purchased.
- Coordinate with initial hardware shipment to job sites with a goal of zero backorders.
- Handle and process customer returns for credit.
- Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous and prompt service at all times.
- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of pricing, quotes and invoices to customers.
- Research and provide product knowledge and may also make job-site deliveries as required.
- Adhere to the Company's policies and procedures.
- Spanish speaking a Plus
Requirements:
- Minimum education required: High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Special skills required: Working knowledge of building materials industry and products, ability to negotiate prices and contractual agreements.
- Special knowledge required: Estimating from blueprints, ability to use calculator and computer.
- Other: Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a random basis and work in extreme weather conditions.
- Clean driving record and current operators license. MVR Required or DMV print out.
- Ability to effectively organize time and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and to participate as a team player in all phases of the organization.
Experience:
- Minimum experience required: 3 years of sales experience in building materials or related industry.
