About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our Global Products Group at Lam Research. As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving product development and innovation in the semiconductor equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative semiconductor equipment and process solutions.
  • Lead product development projects from prototyping to deployment and initial field support.
  • Conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Present analysis and technical recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide real-time problem-solving and enhance product quality.
  • Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience; or a PhD with 5+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
