We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Cherokee Town & Country Club. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for managing our line cooks, preparing delicious food, and ensuring exceptional member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute food items to meet high-quality standards and exceed member expectations.
  • Consult with the Executive Chef or Chef De Cuisine on daily menu planning and parties.
  • Ensure all culinarians are briefed daily to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Responsible for maintaining food production within set quality standards.
  • Cook food that requires skillful preparation, such as roasts, stews, sauces, and soups.
  • Taste all cooked food and provide instructions on portion sizes and garnishing.
  • Carve meats, cut, trim, bone, lard, or prepare meats and poultry for cooking.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and/or Area Chef as directed.
  • Maintain safety and security in the workstation.
Requirements
  • ServeSafe certification.
  • At least 2 years of prior restaurant experience.
  • Culinary degree or ACF equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long durations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
