Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of safety policies and regulations. As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our Power Delivery and Power Generation teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend and administer safety policies and programs
  • Provide safety oversight and technical support for Power Delivery and Power Generation groups
  • Conduct safety and fire protection inspections and monitor work practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Develop and implement safety training programs and materials
  • Investigate safety incidents and gather data to identify root causes and recommend preventive actions
Requirements
  • Associate: 0-2+ years of directly related experience
  • Safety Specialist: 3+ years of directly related experience
  • Sr. Safety Specialist: 5+ years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Occupational Hygiene & Safety Technician (OHST)
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
Working Conditions
  • Cold temperatures up to 25%
  • Dust, grease, oil, fumes, heat, loud noise, outdoors, pressurized lines and valves, radiation, travel up to 25%
