Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $122,300 and $184,600 per year, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.

About the Role

This Product Launch Specialist will play a key role in launching Apple's new products on time with superior product quality and maximum customer availability. The individual will support the fast-paced development and launch of Apple's products, defining and driving material to enable manufacturing line bring-up and collaborating with engineering to define final bill of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Apple & Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations teams in executing early operations builds & line bring-up material strategy.
  • Track readiness/risks: work with procurement teams and engineering teams on material down-selections, technical and production risks.
  • Lead communications, resolve issues and clearly communicate current status.
  • Influence product cost and product margin through material usage optimization projects.
  • Communicate system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional teams.
  • NPI owner in ordering, tracking and actualizing material to support development builds & product ramp; drive material delivery through Apple Procurement and direct with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Cross-functional owner for tracking & BOM readiness Create purchase orders, maintain invoice tracking and goods receipts.

Requirements

  • Requires 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Buyer roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Supply Chain/Operations, Science or Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15%.
  • Consolidate detailed and extensive cross-functional data into concise executive briefings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to articulate complex scenarios in simple terms to OEM and working level teams as well as executives.
  • Excel, Database, & Statistical Software (SPSS, SAS, SQL etc.) experience a plus.
