Job Title: Mental Health SUD Counselor

This position provides behavioral health assessments and counseling services to adults with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health and substance use assessments for patients with dual diagnosis.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' mental health and substance use needs.
  • Provide counseling services to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid Professional Counseling license (LPC), Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW), Marriage and Family Counseling License (LMFT), or Addiction Counselor license (LAC) from the State of Colorado.
  • Two years of experience working with the dually diagnosed and/or substance using population.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of experience working with the dually diagnosed and/or substance using population.
  • Experience working with probation, human services, social services, criminal justice programs, and/or other referral sources.
  • Experience conducting individual and/or family counseling.
Work Environment:

This position will be assigned to a home clinic within Denver, Aurora, or Arvada, Colorado.
