Electrical Field Operations Specialist

This role is primarily a field-based position, with assignment locations varying based on project requirements. Per diem is available for eligible candidates.

In this role, you will oversee daily construction management, coordination, and supervision of contractor activities on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage construction engineers within your assigned discipline.
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of construction plans. Ensure construction methods align with project requirements.
  • Facilitate contractor performance evaluations and coordination meetings.
  • Address contractor coordination issues in line with project timelines and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure engineering support is timely and meets contractor needs.
  • Oversee the quality, cost, and schedule of construction work, reporting discrepancies and mitigating negative impacts.
  • Monitor contractor safety practices.
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding project challenges, safety, and quality matters with contractors.
  • Design and implement a quality audit and surveillance plan for field contractors.
  • Assist in startup testing and commissioning activities as per project timelines.
  • Coordinate commissioning support labor with contractors and the commissioning manager.
  • Engage in the contractor progress payment validation process.
Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in industrial/power/process electrical systems.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in construction management or commissioning within the power sector or related industries.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and relocate as necessary; both domestic and international opportunities may arise.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in project planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
