Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will oversee business development and relationship management for the Inventory Finance sector at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc.

This role is pivotal in cultivating relationships, onboarding new clients, and managing commercial responsibilities within the Inventory Finance domain.

Collaboration with General Managers and key leaders across Inventory Finance, Vendor Finance, and Transportation sectors will be essential to expand the Inventory Finance portfolio.

Engagement with vendors and OEMs to establish programs and secure significant enterprise and dealer accounts is a primary focus.

Additionally, the role involves identifying and developing supply chain income opportunities within various environments, leveraging the broader capabilities of the Hitachi and Mitsubishi groups.

Responsibilities include managing existing dealer accounts while actively seeking new partnerships in diverse markets, including Class 1-8 chassis and bodies, encompassing sectors such as Bus, Towing/Wrecker, Fire, Emergency Vehicles, and Electric Vehicles.

Providing strategic guidance and market insights to leadership is crucial, as is supporting key customers to foster strong relationships.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture both new and existing OEM partnerships.
  • Act as a Customer Experience Strategist, addressing customer project escalations and leveraging relationships to resolve issues.
  • Identify and eliminate potential friction points for customers during the onboarding process.
  • Engage regularly with each customer's Executive Leadership Team to strengthen critical relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations while developing program and dealer relationships with key accounts.
  • Utilize industry expertise and strategic relationships to drive business growth.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on problem-solving and shared ownership of business responsibilities.
  • Represent Mitsubishi HC Capital America at industry events and maintain the highest ethical standards.

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

Engage with customers in assigned markets and collaborate with the team to ensure new business aligns with company policies and pricing guidelines.


Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Initially, there are no direct management responsibilities, but the ability to lead a team as the business expands is essential.


Qualifications/Competencies:
  • 10+ years of experience in developing commercial finance programs and collaborating with business leaders.
  • Strategic mindset with attention to detail, capable of balancing broad experience with strategic management.
  • Strong background in dealer and manufacturer relations within assigned markets.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, particularly with C-Suite executives.
  • Integrity, credibility, and commitment to the company's mission and vision.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead across various organizational levels.
  • Adaptable and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

A minimum of 7 years in Business Development and Sales Leadership is highly desirable, along with knowledge of transportation and specialty vehicle markets.

Experience in Portfolio Management and Underwriting is preferred.


Working Hours:

Hours may vary and will require flexibility based on business needs.


Travel:

Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time is expected.


Physical Demands:

Ability to operate office equipment and engage with customers effectively.
