Key Responsibilities:
- Assess each customer's automotive needs and preferences through effective questioning and attentive listening.
- Showcase vehicles, including conducting test drives.
- Report to the Sales Manager regarding sales goals, planned initiatives, and performance evaluations.
- Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and articulate their advantages to customers.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturers.
- Develop and maintain a prospecting system and a follow-up strategy to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Understand automotive terminology and remain updated on technological advancements in the industry.
- Familiarize yourself with federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automobile sales.
- Introduce customers to service department staff to highlight the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available.
Qualifications:
- No prior sales experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Professional appearance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Capability to meet minimum sales quotas as per dealership standards.
- All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment assessments, including background checks and motor vehicle records review.
